Many of you may remember Rachel + Mutema from their previous engagement session and wedding posts. They recently became parents to the adorable dachshund, Ferdinand, and called lucky ole’ me to document his homecoming.

Well, not really. This little man IS my favorite! He is six years old and I cherish him dearly.

Right before going on another birthday outing with the grands, I snapped a few images of my dear little one in all his plaid and superhero glory.

Wow! Simply wow!

When Jennifer and I had our initial meeting, we clicked. Simple as that. We were both heavily into photography and had similar taste in music (the universal language) so I knew this was a match made in heaven. We spoke about her wedding vision, her fiance’ (now hubby), Barry and all the integral facets that would come to form her splendiforous (yes, I know it’s not a REAL word, lol) day.

Congratulations, Jennifer and Barry.

I cannot explain, regardless of how extensive my vocabulary, how much I’ve grown to adore this couple. We had an awesome time, braving the heat together and I kid you not, every other frame was directly reacting to something hilarious that was said.

I heart them. Congrats, Lisa + Katie.

p.s. I want a love like that :)

From Henderson’s Wharf, to the Bascilica, to Capital Grille…everything was beautiful. Elegant, classic, timeless even.

Michelle + Ernesto, cheers!

This morning is unlike any other morning. I feel a renewed sense of accomplishment, as well as love and support from my friends and family.

This week, I celebrated my thirty-first birthday – no biggie. I am appreciative of having another year to reflect on and it makes me smile. Of course, there were some bumps but those bumps make you laugh harder and smile grander when given the opportunity.

I love my life. I love my son, my puppy (when she isn’t leaving me little “presents” randomly around the house) and I love the individuals that have carved the person that is me. I am grateful to be here and to be loved by so many :)

Random acts of Happy I’ve committed within the last month:

1. Told my hair stylist to leave that gray hair alone!
2. Hugged a complete stranger.
3. Consoled someone after the passing of their grandmother.
4. Made someone laugh.
5. Shared a meal with 9 wonderful individuals.

HAVE YOU HAD YOUR HAPPY TODAY?

(My son, Ade, took this picture – he wanted to name his photographic venture “Wolverine Photography” after a school project he drew depicting the superhero of the same name. Lol)

Today, I met with Ayana and her two incredibly adorable little girls, Kaiya (3) and Neema (8 days old).

Two of my faves from today’s shoot.

~~~~> p.s. Today’s my birthday! Yay me! (I watch entirely too much Zach + Cody lol)
